Homemade Laundry Detergent
I make my own laundry detergent. A couple of years ago a family member developed an allergy to a preservative found in commercial soaps. At first we didn't know what caused it, because when you think about it, we use commercial soaps all the time and everywhere in our lives.
When we discovered the allergic reaction and it's cause, we had to make changes in our home. One change was laundry soap. Now that I make my own, which takes about 10 minutes, I vow never to go back to commercial detergent. It's quick, it's cheaper, and I think it does a better job than anything I buy in a store. For less than $4.00, I have a three month supply as well.

Ingredients:

Store in an airtight container.
Use 1 tablespoon per load for high efficiency washers.
